In the last couple of days, hundreds of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli cities, including the capital of Israel, Jerusalem. In response, the IDF struck military targets belonging to the Hamas terror organization in Gaza. Simultaneously, widespread civil rioting by some of the Arab population in various towns and cities throughout the country has erupted.

FIDV Applauds Approval of Veteran Care Reform Package
On Thursday, May 6, Ministers agreed to push through the Defense Ministry’s plan to reform the treatment for wounded IDF veterans. The outline, dubbed “One Soul” and budgeted at around NIS 300 million, will go toward the immediate hiring of 60 people for the Rehabilitation Department, and toward additional support for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. Academic Scholarships Awards Distributed
During December 2020, ZDVO-Beit Halochem awarded 644 academic and vocational training as well as creative arts scholarships, in a total amount of approximately NIS 2,600,000 (US$ 825,000) raised from private donors, Friends’ Organizations and endowments.
