The Israel at 75 Mission brought a group of close to 50 supporters of Israel’s disabled veterans and Beit Halochem, from across the world.
Congregants of Hebrew Institute of Riverdale benefited from Oren Blitzblau’s story of overcoming his challenges.

Donors and recipients gathered during Hanukkah to award scholarships to disabled Israeli veterans. The Scholarship Distribution Ceremony lights the way for these heroes to succeed on their long roads of rehabilitation.
The Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid, has sent an official letter of appreciation to Beit Halochem on behalf of the State of Israel. He called Beit Halochem’s efforts “sacred work” and “the very heart of Israeli society.” Kol hakavod (congratulations) to Beit Halochem.
The annual National Day of Appreciation for Israel’s Wounded Soldiers and Victims of Terror began with many marches and parades through the country. From the Dan River up North, to Eilat in the South, there were marches and many other events in which wounded veteran’s told their stories.
On Sunday, September 18, Beit Halochem USA/Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans, held a brunch fundraiser at Deer Creek Country Club in Florida. We were honored to have Israeli Deputy Consul General, Mike Driquez, join us for our Celebration to Support Israel’s Disabled Veterans.
