Israel’s national team won 8 medals in the 2012 Paralympic Games. In total, 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals, were earned.
The Gold medal was won by Noam Gershony in the wheelchair tennis (quad category) after beating the #1 ranked player.
The medal breakdown is as follows:
Shraga Weinberg and Noam Gershony: 1 Bronze medal, tennis doubles;
Inbal Pezaro: 3 Bronze medals in women’s swimming, 50, 100 and 200 meters freestyle;
Itzik Mamistalov: 1 Bronze medal in the men’s swimming, 200 meters freestyle;
Doron Shaziri: 1 Silver medal, men’s 3-positions sharpshooting;
Kobi Leon: 1 Silver medal, 16 kilometer hand-cycling.
