LIGHTING THE WAY
Donors and recipients gathered on December 22, 2022, at Beit Halochem in Tel Aviv, to award scholarships to disabled Israeli veterans. The Scholarship Distribution Ceremony began with the lighting of the fifth Hanukkah candle, which served to symbolize how we are lighting the way for these heroes to succeed on their long roads of rehabilitation.
Adv. Edan Kleiman, Chairman of the ZDVO and ZDVF, greeted the scholarship recipients and guests.
In addition to the scholarship awardees, donors attending were honored with special certificates of gratitude.
We attach great importance to this vital project, which constitutes an enormous contribution to our members and disabled veterans, helping with their reintegration into society through education and career acquisition.
This last year, 2022, ZDVO-Beit Halochem awarded 743 Academic, Vocational Training scholarships, and Creative Arts scholarships for a total amount of $867,000. All these funds were raised from private donors, Friends Organizations worldwide, and endowments. We are grateful for their support of this life-changing program.
We are lighting the way for these heroes to succeed on their long roads of rehabilitation.
