Over 300 Gather to Celebrate American Independence and Salute IDF Wounded Veterans at Beit Halochem USA Event

Great Neck, NY – On July 3, over 300 people gathered at the stunning home of David and Bita, with its breathtaking ocean views, to celebrate American Independence and honor IDF wounded veterans at a special Beit Halochem USA event.

The celebration began with the singing of both the American and Israeli national anthems. Community leaders, friends, families, American Navy soldiers, and Israeli IDF soldiers, including wounded veterans who fought in the recent war, were present at this remarkable event.

Tzvia Wexler, the National Development Director of Beit Halochem USA, expressed heartfelt thanks to the hosts for opening their beautiful home to unite the community and raise awareness about Beit Halochem, an organization dedicated to supporting IDF wounded soldiers.

Mazi Melesa Pilip, a politician in the Nassau County Legislature representing the 10th district, saluted both IDF and USA soldiers for their incredible work in protecting our nations.

First Sergeant Itay Sagy, a commando soldier from the elite Magen unit who was wounded in the current war, shared his personal story with the audience, concluding with a message of optimism, love, and unity. Guests were moved by his account and appreciated the opportunity to ask him questions about Israel.

The event featured outstanding food, including a sushi station for appetizers and a magnificent barbecue. Guests enjoyed a lively dance floor with a variety of music. The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie, making the celebration both meaningful.

Beit Halochem provides rehabilitation and support services to disabled IDF veterans in Israel. For over 7 decades, they have been a beacon of hope for wounded soldiers, offering a second home and vital resources for their recovery. They are the only authorized rehabilitation organization that collaborates with the Ministry of Defense in the government.
