The Maccabiah Games (also known as the Jewish Olympics) are the third largest sporting event in the world, and take place every four years in Israel. The rich history of this event dates back to pre-state times.
This year’s games are taking place in Jerusalem, Haifa and Netanya, with a total of about 10,000 athletes from 80 countries. They will participate in 42 sporting events watched by tens of thousands of spectators.
The Maccabiah Games unite Jewish athletes from all over the world for a unique experience of Zionism and sports.
Beit Halochem in Jerusalem is proud and excited to have hosted a delegation of 200 American athletes for a day of joint collaboration and activities alongside IDF wounded veterans, as part of a pre-Maccabiah camp prior to the Maccabiah Games.
