Our Goal

Our Goal

Our goal is to empower every veteran, no matter how severe the disability, to resume a meaningful, dignified life.

Challenged by their serious handicaps, many disabled veterans find it difficult to reestablish the routines necessary to physical, mental and social well-being.  At Beit Halochem, they are encouraged to renew social contacts, be part of a healing community, and thus prevent feelings of isolation often experienced after being wounded.

Funds raised support our centers, special projects, equipment, facilities, group activities, and more than 450 academic and sports scholarships for veterans to aid them in the long and arduous journey toward rehabilitation and normalcy. By supporting FIDV-Beit Halochem and its centers in Beer Sheva, Haifa, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and a future center in Ashdod, you will help ensure that our disabled veterans will get a chance at a new life.

“I think ‘If you can climb a mountain, so can I’  because Beit Halochem gave me the opportunity to play sports. If you can believe in yourself, you can make the impossible possible.”

— Itay Erenlib, an Israeli veteran who lost both legs during a raid
