COURAGE IN MOTION
Barbara Scheps Etelson is riding in Courage in Motion 2017
My participation in this ride is in gratitude to Israel and its meaning to myself, my family, and the soldiers who have fought to protect it. I am excited to participate in this ride along with my husband, Arnie.
I will ride this tour in gratitude to God and Israel, for my health, family, and for all those who helped me through and after surgery from a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) 8 years ago. This injury helped me truly understand what it is like to lose the ability to do certain things. To ride with veterans and victims of terror attacks who have been helped by Beit Halochem, but also have managed to lead productive and joyful lives is an honor for me.
I am an active grandmother, devoted to family, an avid gardener, a former downhill skier, a retired reading specialist, a community volunteer, an adventure traveler, and a 3 wheel recumbent bicycle rider. I am known as Grandma Bubbles to my ten grandchildren. I love living life in the present and this ride, I feel, will help me give back to Israel and its defenders.
