We may be a small nation,
but we are the largest family.
Dear Friends,
As we enter the High Holiday season, we are grateful for your commitment and support for the heroes of Israel, those men and women who risk their lives to protect the country for all of us.
In this time of war, we salute the bravery and courage of every Israeli soldier serving in Swords of Iron. Beit Halochem also pledges to ensure that we can be there for each wounded warrior who comes for help to our Beit Halochem rehabilitation centers in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa and Beer Sheva.
Thanks to you and other good friends, Beit Halochem can welcome even the most severely wounded men or women. This warm second home offers assistance, food supplies, friendly visits to hospitalized soldiers, and other support to our greater Beit Halochem family members during these dangerous times. They know they are not alone!
Our Beit Halochem staff is busy. They are doing extensive outreach to the community:
- 9,866 war wounded veterans from Operation Swords of Iron
- 18,000 hospital visits as part of the Beit Halochem Patrols
- 52,522 veterans we are already serving
- 1,587 new members
By partnering with us, you become one of the foundation stones for rebuilding their lives. As a Beit Halochem scholarship recipient wrote to the person who underwrote it: “As an Israeli citizen and former combat soldier, I appreciate this tremendously. I promise not to disappoint.”
This goes two ways. We show we care about their disabilities, and the courage it took to serve. You are now someone who makes it possible for daily challenges to be met, and for hope to live. We cannot thank you enough.
Chag Sameach and L’Shana Tovah!
