A special event honoring Judith Hirsch, longtime Chair of the Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans-Beit Halochem Chapter in Boca Raton, was held at the Boca West Country Club on December 19, 2018.
Morton Karper, co-chair of the dinner, greeted guests, and introduced Guest Speaker Sivan Ron, an Israeli veteran seriously injured during Operation Protective Edge in 2014. A video presentation, “The Efron Team – Operation Protective Edge”, delved into that military conflict, and Mr. Ron’s role in it.
Honoree Judith Hirsch was flanked by her sons Dr. Cary Hirsch and his wife Gayle, and James Hirsch, and her two granddaughters. Many friends, colleagues and supporters also came to celebrate Judith’s work on behalf of the wounded heroes of Israel.
We are looking forward to a group of re-energized leaders for the Boca Raton FIDV-Beit Halochem Chapter, led by Lisa Levi (daughter of the late Al Ben-Ness of Boynton Beach), Ziva Levy, Morton Karper and Shirley Mayer.
A special “Thank You” to Morton Karper, Judith Hirsch, Sivan Ron, and everyone who helped organize this event. We ask each guest who attended to commit to helping Beit Halochem: with your friendship and support many good things will continue to happen for the disabled veterans and terror attack survivors served by Beit Halochem.
